As per Wave News, the Louisville Metro Police Division booked Scheffler on four charges:

 second-degree attack of a cop, third-degree criminal underhandedness, crazy driving, and dismissing traffic lights from official coordinating traffic.

Scheffler was thusly let out of police guardianship and moved back to Valhalla Golf Club in front of his 10:08 a.m. second-round tee time.

ESPN's Jeff Darlington, who was an onlooker to the occurrence, detailed that Scheffler was "confined by police in cuffs after a misconception with traffic stream prompted his endeavor to drive past a cop into Valhalla Golf Club."

I never planned to dismiss any of the directions. I'm confident to put this aside and spotlight on golf today.

In an explanation, 

Scheffler's Louisville lawyer Steve Romines said: 

"Various onlookers have affirmed that he did nothing off-base except for was essentially continuing as coordinated. He halted promptly after being coordinated to and never anytime attacked any official with his vehicle. We will prosecute this matter depending on the situation and he will be absolved."

Police were on scene after a deadly mishap, which didn't include Scheffler, happened on Shelbyville Street outside an entry to the club around 5 a.m. ET. The episode with Scheffler happened something like 90 minutes after the fact.



A Louisville Metro Police Division representative affirmed to ESPN's Imprint Schlabach that a van transport struck and killed an unidentified man beyond Valhalla Golf Club.

"Earlier today we were crushed to discover that a laborer with one of our sellers was unfortunately struck and killed by a bus transport outside Valhalla Golf Club," the PGA of America said in an explanation.
